MSc in Computer Science ( Multimedia Learning and Sport ). Research based.

Enquiries are sought for students to undertake a MSc in Computer Science by research at WIT. This focus is on investigating the application of Mayers Cognitive Multimedia Learning Theory in a sports domains through the use of iPod and associated technologies. The aim is to specialise in sport activities with a definite strategic focus on learning. The course is suitable for a graduate with a computer science background and a keen interest in sports. However it may also be attractive to graduate with Sports Coaching or traditional Educational qualifications, and relevant computing experience, who wish to explore the potential of Multimedia as a learning tool. Key words are: eLearning, Multimedia Learning theory, Dual Coding theory, Cognitive Load Theory, Multiple Intelligences, Mental Imagery. This is a funded offer ( Course fees ) and students will be provided with individual iPad2 units. 1 place available
